Every Saturday night, The Red Guitar features a free performance by some excellent local talent. The Red Guitar is a great venue for these concerts and their wide variety of supreme, custom blend coffees add to the enjoyment. I'd heard lots of good things about these performances and was so glad that I made it to the one on Thanksgiving weekend.

In a rare performance to benefit the Humane Society of Morgan County, Jim Fredo rocked like nobody’s business. He served up a musical feast to rival any served during the holiday. He is absolutely inspired and gave us all a heapin' helping of some the best classic rock, blues and original music that I have heard in a long, long time from a solo artist using only a good voice and an acoustic guitar.

Word has it that Jim Fredo may be doing another benefit performance in the spring at the Ice House. If he does decide, I'm sure the people who attended on Saturday the 25th will be back for more. No doubt others who heard how good the most recent performance was will be sure to attend, too. It gives us all something really good to look forward to in the Spring.
