HUMANE SOCIETY REPORTS ON RABIES CLINIES, BUILDING PROJECTS AND UPCOMING SUPPLY DRIVE

The Humane Society of Morgan County reports an excellent turn-out of 103 pets for the Spring Rabies Clinic held at the adoption center on Sunday, April 29. One person brought in 9 pets for rabies vaccines administered by Dr. Sally Pepper, DVM. Another Rabies Clinic is scheduled to be held at the center in the Fall.

Capital improvement projects planned for the Adoption Center are currently underway. Work scheduled for this week includes the installation of new flooring in the main building and in the cat showcase /animal isolation building. Installation of an updated HVAC system is also planned for early May. The Humane Society plans to hold a dedication ceremony to honor all whose financial donations or labors made possible the completion of the cat showcase/ animal isolation building soon after that building is finished.

The Humane Society of Morgan County will be having a supply drive for their adoption center on Saturday, May 5th from 8:30am to 2pm at Pittman’s Market in Hancock.
