HUMANE SOCIETY HOSTS VISIT TO ADOPTION CENTER BY JUNIOR GIRL

The
Humane Society of Morgan County was pleased to host Junior
Girl Scout Troop #613 of Hancock on
Saturday, April 5, 2008.
As a culminating activity for the troop’s completion of
the Animal Care Badge and their shelter supplies drive, Troop
Leader Tammy Fox arranged for the troop to take a tour of the
newly renovated Adoption Center Facility. In addition to their
leader, Junior Troop #613 was accompanied on the field trip by
Amanda Bingaman, Amy McCumbee, Nicole Golden, Wanda Snow, Doug
Snow and Garrett Fox. The group was greeted by Board Secretary,
Susan “Mrs. K.” Kemenyas, who showed them around
the facility describing the many special features that are unique
to the Humane Society of Morgan County including stopping at
the entryway sign for so Scouts Emily Fox, Taylor Unger Kierra
McCumbee, Deanna Golden, Jenna Mitchell, and Jewell McCarty posed
for a group photo. “Mrs. K.” described the program
and services offered by the Humane Society of Morgan County and
taught the group how to avoid being bitten, scratched or attacked
by a dog or a cat by learning to read an animal’s non-verbal
communication.
